Overview

Jennings River Outfitters is known for producing some of the largest Canadian Moose in British Columbia. Due to our northern location bordering the Yukon, our moose share genetics with the Alaska-Yukon subspecies, resulting in exceptional size and antler development.

With average bull spreads in the mid-50” range and 60”+ bulls taken regularly, this is a destination for hunters seeking true trophy potential.

Doug Rehbein currently holds the SCI record for the Western Canada moose for a bull he took here at Jennings River Outfitters, guided by long-time hunting guide Mark Boote. In October 1998, Doug harvested a once-in-a-lifetime bull that still stands as a benchmark for Western Canada moose hunters around the world.

This giant bull scored an incredible 557 inches with a 64-2/8 inch outside spread, carrying 12 points on one antler and 10 on the other. The moose’s massive T-2 and T-4 points pushed it into the record books and secured Doug’s place in SCI history.

The Experience

Terrain

Expansive river systems, lakes, wetlands, and alpine basins create ideal moose habitat across the concession.

Hunt Style

Primary hunts are conducted by boat, calling bulls during the rut. Alternative options include horseback or ATV-based alpine hunts combining glassing and calling.

Physical Demand

Low to moderate. Boat-based hunts are accessible, while alpine options require more mobility.

Camp Life

Comfortable cabins are strategically placed in high-density moose areas, maximizing both success and comfort.
