MOUNTAIN GOAT
Overview
Mountain Goat hunting has steadily grown in popularity, offering hunters a highly rewarding alpine experience with strong success rates and exceptional scenery.

Jennings River Outfitters is home to a thriving population of mountain goats, allowing us to consistently provide opportunities on mature billies. With success rates approaching 100%, this hunt offers both excitement and accessibility without compromising the authenticity of a true mountain pursuit.

Goats are found throughout the concession, making them an excellent standalone hunt or addition to a Stone Sheep, Moose, or Caribou hunt.
The Experience
Terrain

Steep alpine cliffs, rocky outcroppings, and glacier-fed basins define goat country. These animals thrive in rugged, elevated terrain where footing is critical.

Hunt Style

Fly into one of our many coveted goat areas, you'll spike out from a main cabin and plan to spend nights in the high country.

Physical Demand

Moderate to high. While goats are often visible, reaching them can require careful movement in steep terrain. Good balance and fitness are important.

Camp Life

One of the more strenuous hunts, goats prefer the high mountains, where weather can be unpredicable. Expect a difficult, but very rewarding hunt.
