Overview

Stone Sheep are widely regarded as one of the most coveted and visually striking big game species in North America. With their unique colour variations and distinctive horn genetics, no two rams are ever alike, making every harvest a truly individual trophy.

At Jennings River Outfitters, our philosophy is simple: quality over quantity. We limit the number of stone sheep hunts per year . This careful management has allowed us to maintain an average ram age of over 9 years, with horn lengths averaging greater than 38 inches.

Our remote concession in the Cassiar Mountains offers untouched habitat where these animals can reach their full potential, far removed from outside pressure.

The Experience

Terrain

Expect classic northern mountain country, towering peaks, hanging alpine basins, and expansive valleys. Sheep may be found on high ridgelines, tucked into alpine pockets, or moving along the edge of treeline.

Hunt Style

This is a true backpack mountain hunt. Days are spent glassing vast terrain and planning stalks on mature rams. Depending on location and animal movement, hunters can expect to be in spike camps high in the mountains for their entire hunt.

Physical Demand

Stone Sheep hunting is physically and mentally demanding. Success requires a strong level of fitness, endurance, and determination to navigate steep, rugged terrain.
